Monster trucks & bashers: what fits your driving?
RCCritic is research-led: we use maker data and published sources. We have not done hands-on tests yet.
Start here for dry grass, rough ground and open-space driving. Taller tires and a truck layout give you a different starting point from a low road car.
Avoid crowded parks, traffic and hard jumps while you learn. A waterproof ESC does not make every part safe to submerge.
Which scale and space should you plan for?
Compare the published length as well as the scale label. A large truck needs room to turn, stop and keep clear of people.
What battery and extra items will you need?
Packages range from included NiMH to separate 6S or 8S LiPo systems. Match the exact ESC, tray and connector; more cells are not a universal upgrade.
RTR means ready-to-run. It does not guarantee a drive battery, charger, wall power supply or transmitter batteries. Each model page has a separate-purchase list.
Which models span the listed prices?
From current RTR listings with a supported USD price: lowest, middle and highest maker list price. This is a price rule, not a driving assessment.

Can you increase battery cells later?
Only if the exact ESC, motor and vehicle manual allow that cell count and pack size. A compatible connector alone is not enough. Read the battery guide.
