I bought this combo to upgrade a Traxxas Raptor/Slash. Owning a Stampede VXL, I had a good idea of what to expect, and I wasn't disappointed! I left the gearing stock, and the truck is now a beast! I even had to put it on training mode (power output drops to 50%) so I could "learn" how to drive it again, lol.

No questions asked. This is my second upgrade from a regular Traxxas Titan 12 to this Velineon VXL brushless motor and ESC. Get it! Also, don't forget to change your gear ratios also.

This motor was a great upgrade for my Rustler! A big difference in top speed and it is also waterproof! Compared to the Titan 12T 550 (stock base model rustler) I recommend it to anyone who wants to go brushless and upgrade to VXL!

I've had this motor for over 2 weeks and it is great. I upgraded an XL-5 rustler to VXL, and now it goes about 40 mph with a 2s lipo. Definitely get this product if upgrading from brushed to brushless.
